So you’re new to Zetta or you’re looking at upgrading your radio automation system. Zetta is a powerful, flexible, and modern solution that allows users to customize their Zetta experience to fit different roles and stations. From a single seat, users can maximize their efficiency by pivoting between everyday tasks – from on-air, voice tracking to production – all without having to switch software or studios. For this week’s RCS Live, we took an aerial view of Zetta and how our everyday users look to Zetta to enhance their operations.
Throughout this video you’ll hear us use the key phrases: modern, flexible, and customizable. Starting with modern, Zetta features a detached playout, which allows users to close Zetta, switch layouts, control multiple stations from various studios, and more, without affecting the on-air playout. Zetta’s built-in services can be defined across your Zetta environment, so that from your team’s perspective, there’s no confusion or hesitation around, “Will this take us off the air?” Instead, in between lengthy on-air breaks, switch layouts from on-air to production, tapping into Zetta’s Multi-Track Editor to record and edit production elements. Or use Zetta’s enterprise solutions to make edits to Station A, pivoting to Station B to complete additional tasks, only to return to Station A, all without having to move between studios or causing off-air issues. And with the introduction of Zetta Cloud Based Disaster Recovery and RCS Cloud, now users can take their Zetta system and save their audio, schedule, metadata, and SQL backups to the cloud, not a virtual machine or VM, but RCS software written for and on a cloud container, following best practices and security.
If you’re looking to add audio, Zetta features multiple importing options. From CD, drag and drop, Windows Explorer to Auto Load, Zetta will save a default, non-destructive copy of your audio. Then, utilize Zetta’s Marks Analysis tool to define Trim In, Trim Out, and/or Segue Points, including station specific normalization, all automatically, saving your team from repeating the same task more than once. Speaking of avoiding repetitive tasks, with GSelector’s 100% live integration, your music scheduling software can also be in sync with your automation system. When you add or edit a song in Zetta or GSelector, it’s automatically reflected in the other piece of software. With GSelector’s live log, there’s no more need for manual reconciliation as Zetta will display any missed elements, again, live in real time.
Moving onto flexibility, Zetta’s clientele includes international users across almost every format imaginable. In fact, it’s quite common for one Zetta environment to include News/Talk, various music formats to satellite programming. Do you need to work remotely? Tap into Zetta2GO to continue to control the on-air product, edit the log, add new songs, trigger audio and non-audio elements from the Hot Keys, monitor your stations, and voice track. As long as you have a VPN outside of your office, Zetta can be controlled from anywhere. In addition to being flexible, Zetta can also cater to users of all skillsets. Featuring a simple drag and drop design, any team member can quickly learn Zetta by simply left click and dragging elements between modules without confusion. Remember, with Zetta’s detached playout, any studio can become a live studio or users can toggle between stations, like a Sunday night shift where one board-operator can monitor and manipulate multiple stations.
Last, but not least, customizable. Starting with layouts, define multiple layouts to cater to each user’s role or associated station. Don’t forget, your staff can switch between layouts, stations and tasks without any on-air interruptions. So if a team member needs two profiles: one for on-air and one for production, then create one! Does your station feature users who prefer to avoid all the “bells and whistles?” Then create a third simple, locked layout. And of course, Zetta includes a full security hierarchy and reporting, so that administrators can monitor their team. Let’s say that your station includes an attribute that is flagged and needs to be quickly recognized by the on-air talent. Then just color customize your elements or attributes within the software. Aside from our dark, light, and metal themes, almost all of Zetta’s fonts, rows, asset types, and attributes can be customizable to fit your needs.
