After a nice week off, it was time for another RCS Questions and Answers in a Time of Remote Workflows. This Thursday, we reviewed how Zetta Cloud and Zetta Cloud Based Disaster Recovery works and showcased a couple new Zetta Cloud features, like Hot Keys, Station settings and the System Monitor.
Remember, the first phase of RCS Cloud is Zetta Cloud Based Disaster Recovery, which acts as a separate market, but runs in tandem with your current Zetta system. Any changes, be it log, new audio or metadata changes, including backups, are instantly saved to Zetta Cloud. If disaster strikes, enable Zetta Cloud with your phone and you’re back on the air. When the disaster is over, restore your Zetta backup, disable Zetta Cloud and you’re back to normal.
As we inch closure to a fully cloud based radio automation system, Zetta Cloud now features the Hot Keys module. Hot Keys allow the user to play audio outside the on-air and audition modules. You’ll find that Zetta Cloud’s Hot Keys module performs the same as it would in Zetta or Zetta2GO. Simply add a new Hot Key bank, drag and drop assets, adjust the color and it’s ready for playout.
Next, we also went over some of the updated Station specific settings. Users can now utilize stretch and squeeze, Soft ETMs, audio processing, switch between English and French and more. With the ability to integrate with GSelector, possibly on a VM, users can also create a schedule remotely and then voice track or control their station from Zetta Cloud.
RCS has some special guests and surprises lined up for upcoming Facebook Lives, in which we’ll discuss some of the advanced features and configurations of the full line of RCS products. You won’t want to miss it! As always, reach out if you have any questions or looking for workflow solutions.
